The production of phages for therapeutic use demands rapid, efficient, and scalable purification methods. Phage lysates contain various impurities, including endotoxins from gram-negative bacteria and protein toxins produced by pathogenic bacterial species, which pose risks to human health. The maximum permissible endotoxin concentration for parenterally administered medications is 5 EU/kg/hr. The objective of this service is to assess the viability of various purification techniques in detecting and eliminating endotoxins during the production of phage preparations for clinical applications.
